Wind Turbine Planning Permission

By far the most important part of the process is obtaining planning permission – put simply, without planning permission you are not able to erect or install your apparatus.

First and foremost Aspire Planning is a planning consultancy. Our Chartered Town Planners have been involved with small and medium wind turbine planning applications since February 2008 and therefore have extensive experience of dealing with local authority planners and negotiating consents throughout England, Scotland & Wales; our results for small and medium wind turbine planning applications speak for themselves with a 95% approval rate and in excess of 11MW consented.

We are able to offer fixed rates for the preparation and submission your wind turbine planning application, based on the number of wind turbines you require. You do not have to have used our pre-application site assessment and analysis service to benefit from our experience of the planning system and use us for your planning submission, however we are able to offer discounts to clients that use both services.

As we are totally independent of any wind turbine manufacturer or installer we are able to act for any client regardless of the make or model of your preferred turbine and can make honest and transparent recommendations to you.

Furthermore we have expert partners in ecology, noise, archaeology, landscape, listed buildings should we need their assistance along the way.

Typically for a single wind turbine project our fees would include the preparation of site specific documentation and plans, submission of documents to the local planning authority, contact and negotiation with local planning authority throughout the process.

Please note that our fees do not include local authority fees, third party consultant fees, re-submissions or appeals.

Sensitive Locations

Sites that have a national designation, such as SSSI’s, AONB, National Parks, Green Belt or location that might affect the setting of a listed building will require additional work and surveys.

We will be able to advise on this on a site specific basis

Refused planning applications

On occasions and often beyond our control planning applications are refused. Should this happen to your application we are able to assess the decision and advise on the best course of action.

We are able to offer an opinion on any refused planning applications, whether or not we submit the original application. Please see our planning appeals website for more information www.planningappeals.net

We offer a nationwide planning service, without restrictions.

You should note that planning permission is never guaranteed and that the advice given is done so in our own professional opinion as Chartered Town Planners.
